My Favorite All Natural Skincare & Make-Up Products
I decided to create a blog post here on the ol’ blog to jam about non-toxic skincare products. I have been utilizing all natural skincare products for the past couple of years after Jess (my twin sister) sent me a ton of articles on toxic chemicals that are found in face/body products. Basically, what I am saying is this — ignorance isn’t bliss when you have a twin sister who is AGRO about skincare. Haha, and for that I am extremely grateful. Love you Jess ;]
There is a lot to be said about the effects of chemicals on our bodies hormonal systems, and detox pathways. It does matter what we put onto our skin, because it is the biggest organ in your body and absorbs everything that goes on it directly into the blood stream. Now, I am in now way saying do an overhaul of everything in your kitchen, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and make-up drawers….but I am saying your dollar changes the way companies show up. When you run out of any product I invite you to ask yourself, “Is there another non-toxic product that I can trade this in for?” If so, try it out….
Top Skin Care Products:
I’ve been using this cleanser for a couple of years, and I’m so happy with it that I don’t even try anything else. It smells divine.
Exfoliating Scrub, Mask & More: I LOVE the problem solver & the dirt from May Lindstrom
Everything May touches is going to be gold. She is so intentional about her products, the ingredients, the packaging — everything. I love this woman, and all of her products.
Toner: Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 PIGM 400
I mean….I wish I was kidding when I say this, but I’m not. This toner legit works. I highly recommend this to anyone who has redness.
Red-reducing Serum: Biologique Recherche Sérum Erythros
Same goes for this serum, and the next one….
Serum: Biologique Recherche Sérum PIGM 400
Moisturizer: Oleogel K
This moisturizer looks like it just came out an o-chem lab haha, but I love it. It contains essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. It is anti-inflammatory, reduces itching, and soothes, calms, and repairs dry skin.
I just recently started wearing sunscreen daily again. haha, and to be honest — the only reason is this: my twin is going to look 20 years younger when we’re 40 if I don’t ;] hahaha for real.
Deodorant - because arm-pits are skin too ;]
I love the Blue Tansy deodorant from Primally Pure. And trust, me I’ve tried every dang all-natural deodorant. haha
Top Make-Up Products:
Bronzer: Lily Lolo in shade Honolulu
Eye-liner: Ilia in shade Sweet Jane
Mascara - Kjier Wiess
Makeup: RMS + Juice Beauty (priming powder)
I’ll be honest I haven’t worn foundation in over a year…just decided that I didn’t need or want to anymore.
Lipstick: Kosas in Undone
Chapstick: Evanhealy (this is the best chapstick on the planet — in my humble opinion) lol
As a woman, we’ve been sold 10030438448 products with the messaging that we aren’t good enough — it’s one thing to use that as a motivation, and a totally different story to use, “I love myself, and I want to feel and look pretty…” I’m still working on the latter ;] with you, and always in your worthiness corner.
Here’s to inner & outer glow babes,
